Explain exactly what changed
Identify whether the update involves colors, branding, language, net contents, ingredients, included accessories or pack count. Note any change to the UPC or model number. An older label does not automatically mean an identical product. Side-by-side photos and accurate descriptions help explain which version is being offered and prevent confusion later in the sales process.
Document the outgoing merchandise
Provide current photos of the inventory you want to sell, including retail labels and outer cartons. List quantities by version when old and new packaging coexist in the warehouse. Identify opened cases, reworked cartons or mixed pallets separately. The submission should describe goods in their present form, including any stickers or labels added after production.
Include dates and channel requirements
For food, personal care and other dated goods, include the printed information by SKU and lot. State any distribution requirements or reasons the outgoing version needs to leave a particular sales channel. Do not assume a packaging-change closeout will be represented as the newer version. MRT reviews the actual merchandise and discusses a suitable transaction with the seller.
Make the transition easier to evaluate
Send the manifest, available cases, case packs, warehouse location and desired timing. Explain whether all outgoing inventory is available together or whether more stock will be identified later. If a new launch creates a firm space requirement, include that date. Pricing and logistics are agreed individually rather than automatically determined by the package change.
Before you submit.
Do you buy old-label inventory?
Yes. Submit the product and quantity details, current photos and a description of the label change. MRT reviews each opportunity.
What if the UPC changed too?
List the UPC on the actual merchandise offered and explain how it differs from the replacement. Keep versions separate in the manifest.
Can damaged packaging be included?
Disclose damage separately from a design change and provide photos. The condition of the offered lot is evaluated individually.
