Define the inventory available for sale
Start with the SKUs you are ready to exit or reduce. Separate committed stock, open orders and inventory you still need for regular customers. If only part of a product line is available, show that quantity explicitly. A current available-to-sell count is more useful than a total warehouse balance that includes goods already allocated elsewhere.
Explain condition and packaging
Excess inventory can be new and case-packed, but the label overstock does not tell a buyer everything about its condition. Include packaging photos, case packs and any dates. Identify repacked cartons or mixed pallets separately. Tell MRT whether the goods are original production stock, store inventory or returns that have moved into a surplus program.
Prioritize the business requirement
Share whether your goal is to clear a particular bay, reduce a category, complete a warehouse move or resolve an outgoing assortment. Include the desired timing and any constraints on the lot. MRT evaluates the merchandise and discusses the possible purchase directly. No recovery percentage or turnaround time is assumed before the inventory is reviewed.
Submit the list and next-step details
Upload a spreadsheet or PDF with descriptions, identifiers, quantities and units of measure. Include the warehouse location, pallet configuration and loading access. If several categories are involved, separate them into understandable groups. Use the seller form to bring the details together and start a conversation with MRT’s team.
Before you submit.
Can I sell just part of my excess inventory?
Describe the exact SKUs and quantities you are offering. MRT reviews the proposed lot and discusses whether it fits.
Does MRT buy overstock from manufacturers and retailers?
Yes. MRT buys from manufacturers, retailers, authorized 3PL clients and Amazon sellers, among other inventory sellers.
What determines an overstock offer?
The specific product, available quantity, condition, dates, resale requirements and logistics all inform the review. Submit the actual details rather than relying only on original retail value.
